Utah “Jazz” I’ll never get used to that. They should really ransom that back to New Orleans and become the Utah Pioneers or Mormans or some such.

When the Pelicans where the Hornets they should have just switched name, logo, and colors with Utah and brought the Jazz back to New Orleans.  After all, Utah is The Beehive State so the Hornet name would have fit Salt Lake City.

Worst name for city in the entire league. At least when the Rockets moved from San Diego to Houston it made sense because of NASA, but Utah is the antitheses of jazz

The NBA Cabal of Ornery Centers have to be watching Allen’s arrival with a twinkle in their eye, he’ll be finishing the season with a cup and a full facemask on

Utah is 15% non-white these days, just FYI. Mostly Mexicans and Polynesians.

The whitest states in America are in northern New England. At least as of the 2010 Census, the whitest of the US’ 100 largest metro areas is Pittsburgh, which at 95% non-Hispanic white makes Provo look cosmopolitan.

So you’re saying the Mormons have plenty of black friends!

      This happened:

      https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/mormon-church-lds-naacp-salt-lake-city-derrick-johnson-russell-nelson-a8356881.html

Also, there was this big to-do last month for the 40th anniversary of the LDS Church allowing blacks full membership in the church, with access to the priesthood and to all rites and ordinances in the temples. There were celebrations in Mormon congregations all over the world, including one in my brother’s heavily black ward in the inner western suburbs of Chicago.

I can’t find it on my work computer because Twitter and Facebook are blocked, but there’s a picture from the main celebration in SLC of the #5 official in the church, an older white dude named D. Todd Christofferson, doing the Wakanda Salute along with two prominent black LDS bloggers.

      Baby steps.

Never seen a rookie with a bigger target on his back coming into the league than this kid. First off he tried this with a another rookie, meaning he knows he can’t do this stuff with vets. Looking forward to Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Klay Thompson putting this punk on his ass. Oh speaking of The Jazz can we finally blow the fucking whistle on another former member of that franchise, John Stockton? Yeah he was a great guard but he was as dirty as they came. I wonder why this has been glossed over for years. i can’t Qwhite put my finger on it.

It’s been acknowledged many times that Stockton was a dirty player. But you fans are too pussy for a man’s league, you whine and complain like a woman who’s man stayed out too late.

It’s part of the game, if you can’t handle it then don’t watch. And Grayson Allen’s going to have a good career, so you can complain in a comments section for some tiny website, he’ll be earning millions, playing for national audiences while you live your sad little life.

He'll be in the D League and then Europe or China within a few years. Good riddance.

First off, it’s a Summer League game. More than half of these players are going to be working at a Waffle House once the season starts.

Grayson Allen will fit in better with his kind there.

I don’t know much about bball, but I’ll say this, that “arm hook” look close to danger as in harming Young’s rotator cuff, something.

Every once in a while I miss players being able to fight in the NBA.  Sometimes a good enforcer is what a situation needs.
