I’m not sure how I feel about this. Just because a grand jury decides not to bring charges against someone does not mean that this man is innocent. It just means there wasn’t enough evidence to support a charge. Also I read he went from being 18th to 24th.

Doesn’t mean he did it either. So until proven otherwise, in my eyes he’s still innocent.

Are people supposed to speak up in real time when they are raped or nah? Isn’t that the critique around #MeToo? Are we going to sue every accuser?

Without proof, either way, tt doesn’t prove one thing to me or the other just that he is free.

cleared in July 2017 after a grand jury declined to press charges against him

A prosecutor could indict a ham sandwich ... unless the ham sandwich was accused of rape then all bets are off because the victim was asking for it dressed that way with their ankles showing.

I thought you knew false accusations don’t happen. And those false accusations that occur should be ignored because it’s at such a low rate(those stats are bullshi5 btw), that it should never be taken into consideration.

It’s interesting to read all these “she’s lying” claims based on a lack of grand jury indictment.

When it’s been clear for the past several years that prosecutors will go through a grand jury to shore up their credibility when they don’t actually want to press charges against murdering cops.

He better have some credible evidence that she was lying or this case falls apart. His word and a lack of grand jury indictment are not sufficient.

I don’t think he would sue if he didn’t have some evidence that she lied.

He’s suing to recoup monetary damages and credibility with the NFL and the public.

You see the number of commenters here cheering him on? Among a certain segment of the population, suing the woman he raped makes him look good.

Lesson to be learned: When you are a potential high draft pick in any draft, stay home and stay close to family until the draft takes place.

Damn right he should sue her and the state should prosecute for felony (filing a false police report) and it led to an innocent person being charge. Hoe does his stock go down. Should he sign a pro contract he shu;d take a full page ad out in the New York Time and tell his story..
