I saw one tourist say that there are other peaceful ways to protest (of course he didn’t offer any examples of ways that could be peaceful and not annoy white people, they never do) and that the lady ruined their holiday.

“Yeah? Your holiday was ruined? Oh, I’m so sorry for you, sir” replied all the children currently being held in internment camps and tent cities.

    “We shole is sorry, boss.”

What they mean is “ways that don’t bother me, or draw my attention”. Which is the opposite of what protests are supposed to do. Whether she wants to or not, that tourist is now forced to be aware of the issue now. That is why “civil” protests don’t work, they can be easily ignored. Be uncivil, it works.

That WAS peaceful!  Seems to me the police could also have said “Let’s let her stay there.  What’s she going to do?  We’ll help her down when she wants to come down.”

I cannot think of a more appropriate form of protest than standing under the skirts of Lady Liberty.

The right to peacefully protest ongoing racist, gub’mint-sponsored human rights violations can make you a possibly felonious criminal.

North Korea and Russia: good. Canada, Mexico and the EU: bad.

    This is (m’f’in) America.

Maybe I’m missing something, but why didn’t they just leave her there? She wasn’t endangering anyone, so what exactly is the problem?

I guess I just don’t understand why this even counts as a protest. A person sat at the foot of a statue. That’s all. Why does anyone even care?

Because the foot of that statue is 100 feet above the ocean. She could have easily fallen to her death. Do you want to see a person with mental problems fall into the ocean and die?

So, since she’s down can I assume that she was successfully able to get all those children released? No? All she accomplished was ruining the holiday for a bunch of people in the name of showing her ass? Well color me surprised!

A sniper and a well trained clean up crew probably could have had that sorted in a much shorter time period.

so you are saying the government should kill someone for sitting at the foot of a statue? That’s what you’re saying? That is your preferred option for handeling this situation? How are you different than ISIS exactly?
