Here are a few more details omitted from the WLWT article and interview. Damn shame the interviewer didn’t ask her more details regarding her criminal past.
- Melissa Bergman, 30, of Mason, Ohio stole packages from the stoops of 28 houses over the course of two days last July with her children in the car
- She entered a plea of not guilty by insanity but was charged and sentenced to 30 days in prison
- Bergman said in an interview with NBC that she stole out of boredom and still has no idea what she was thinking
- In 2010 she was sentenced to three years in prison for larceny after stealing from a store and then spraying Mace at workers who tried to apprehend her
- She was arrested in November too after bedding a man and then stealing his credit card while he slept to shop at Walmart and book a vacation
- Bergman and her husband Stanley are now estranged and have two children under the age of 5
She has been arrested 7 times!

  Given her history of theft and whatnot posted above, she needs that and to be seen by a shrink while she’s doing her time so that when she finally gets out, she can be somewhat mentally healthy and ready to make the most of her life, pampered as it is. Otherwise she’s going to keep right on doing insane shit right on up to the point that someone else gets hurt in her rush to chase that feeling of thrills that she claims is behind this.
  I’m sorry she had a rough time in the service, but there are hundreds if not more of Vets who have been traumatized by the shit they saw and had to do and very few of them are chasing the feeling by stealing shit.

  ,My exact sentiment. Now that is a classic example of white priviledge. Her sentense would most definitely been different were she a black woman. Also there are so many causes she could volunteer for if boredom was her problem. She appears to have a much larger problem than boredom. Pray she gets the help she needs. Her children need a sane sensible mother in order not to be confused about the world in which they live and turn into the same sick person .

That’s because, honestly, you’re at the finish line.
That’s her house. It’s a 3,600 sq. ft 4BR/5BA McMansion.
I have a house in the suburbs, a beautiful wife, two kids, two dogs, and a job with decent benefits that pays the bills, is only 15 minutes from my house, and only requires me to work from 8-5, Monday through Friday.
And when you have that, if you’ve got half a brain in your skull, you do everything you can NOT to fuck it up.
This woman is, quite frankly, a selfish, self-centered criminal piece of trash.

  To be fair: how many poor vets, minority vets, severely physically disabled vets, not-too-attractive vets, etc. with suicidal urges and PTSD are cooling their heels serving long prison sentences with scant chances given to them to receive the help they need simply because they aren’t getting similar slaps on the wrists as this lady with her extensive cries for help?
