    The people who benefit the most from affirmative action are white women. Yet they complain about it the most.  I for one am going to sit back and enjoy this. Why? Because those good ole Beckies carried 45 to the WH. They are getting what they deserve.

      I’ve seen more white women complicit or silent about it. I’ve heard the most virulent arguments against it from white men. The next would be Asian folks although they benefit in the professional world.

      You are right about those 53 percenters getting what they voted for. Sadly, I think they will still blame Hillary for not being electable/likable enough.

    White men are pretty much the weakest species on the planet. They fear competition and are terrified whenever their perceived masculinity is challenged. They know the clock is ticking on them and so they are trying to roll back any perceived advantages that they think people of color and women have gained in the twentieth century. I feel like channeling Magneto and saying, you are right to fear us. You will soon be the minority and may be subject to the whims of those you’ve tormented for so long. Isn’t that what they fear most of all?

Yes this move by this twisted fuck is intentional and aimed at blacks but every move he makes—immigration, NFL, Congresswomen Wilson and Waters, Jenell Hill, and so on and so on, are aimed to DISTRACT YOU, SO WE NEED TO WALK AND CHEW GUM AT THE SAME TIME! These culture issues are what he wants all of us, including his low information white voters to focus on, INSTEAD OF Russia meddling; INSTEAD OF his damaging EPA and DOJ roll-backs, INSTEAD OF Cohen,INSTEAD OF his horrible tax cuts that are literally crushing the same low information voters he preys on, while the rich, white voters (on Wall Street, in Corporate America, in his cabinet, in the state houses across this country) reap the benefits of de-regulation and line their pockets with your money and NO WAGE INCREASES or investments in infrastructure; INSTEAD OF on the tariffs and US business shutting down; INSTEAD OF his attempt to take Angela Merkel down; INSTEAD OF the anti-legal immigration plan he, Bannon, Miller and Sessions are implementing; INSTEAD OF his attempt to normalize Russia; INSTEAD OF ALL OF THE MOVES HE’S MADE SINCE BEING ELECTED THAT MAKE RUSSIA GREAT AGAIN — NOT THE U.S.!

    The only thing that surprised me about this story is that it took them this long. I expected this to happen in March of last year.

    Pretty much every Republican reverses what the previous Democrat did on affirmative action, abortion, labor rights, and the environment.

      You would be amazed at how quickly white people claim that diversity is both really important to them and about “so much more” than mere race. It’s about diverse ways of thinking, which means that the rare far-right views must be protected. I have witnessed this many times, in person. And I’m sure you, personally, would not be amazed or surprised, but it is amazing nonetheless as a phenomenon. No self-awareness involved.
