Oh cool, another sitcom by an SNL talent. It can take the place of the soon to be cancelled Great News. At some point NBC is going to have to go to Ex-SNL star rehab.

I see what you’re saying and ex-cast member shows have been particularly cursed lately. But think about this - 30 Rock, The Last Man on Earth, and Parks and Rec had/have ex-SNL talent. And they’re all pretty great or at least okay.

As regards, Zamata, I hope you’re using the SNL talent moniker as sarcasm. She contributed nothing to that show and never demonstrated even one moment of comic personality. I watched infrequently over the years she was on and never saw her be anything more than a background character in someone else’s sketch. I hope she has some acting talent that could carry her on a regular TV program. It certainly won’t be her sense of comedy keeping her afloat.

Ok, im only using this new post to discuss a new kinja issue (I know, surprising).

WTF guys. Now when we open pending comments, we cant expand the threads. Jesus christ, I know that some new accounts can be trash, but lets try to make an active effort to welcome and converse with people who havent been approved yet.

For all the complaining and joking on exclusive clubs and privileged parties, the ability to slap the face of your community and anyone who tries to become a part of it, is just insulting and hypocritical.

AV Club, I know its not you, its the platform. But demand better. You can be better. The traffic flow on this network of sites is far to high for this kinda of shit. (excuse my language, but c’mon)

Kinjamprove (even the old Firefox version) still seems to work as far as making that particular issue go away.

    I might watch it.

I hope it doesn’t end up like Bobby Moynihan’s show. Or Mulaney where, if memory serves, Nasim Pedrad was one of the mains.

And Mulaney himself came from the SNL writer’s room, so, sadly, that counts as two strikes.

      Ugh, Mulaney.

      Oh my god, you’re right.

How someone’s standup can be so brilliant while their show is such ass I’ll never understand. (Sorry, John!)

    Always shocking people by

    …commiting serial murder…

…abducting young children and raising them as her own…

    …becoming head of a crime family….

    …joining a terrorist organization…

Wait a minute this is network television...

    …saying crazy/confusing things…

Life in Pieces writer... Unless he really doesn’t try on that show, this will be a parade of endlessly predictable, lame, cheesy, most obvious jokes based on stereotypes.

But he wrote for Ground Floor, which was great mostly in spite of all that.

And he wrote for Your Family or Mine, which I couldn’t stand in the middle of the pilot.

And he wrote some HIMYM and Friends.

    Ugh. We’ll see.
