    I’m a big fan of Karen and Georgia, even though the liberal blogosphere has decided that they’re racist for some reason. I haven’t been super compelled to return to My Favorite Murder though, after getting about 60 episodes in. The ads just started to grate after a while. But Karen’s music videos with Drennon Davis are top-notch, especially The High Song.

      I got booted from an MFM Facebook group for gently suggesting that Karen and Georgia are maybe not the podcasting equivalent of Donald Trump and David Duke and could everyone please take a deep breath. I saw them in New Orleans last month, still love the podcast (I skip over the ads).

      I had no idea that this was even a thing. After spending five minutes looking at the Bitch Media / Twitter foofaraw, I’ve decided that it can’t be real, and must be parody put out by some kind of alt-right shitposter who wants to make liberal snowflakes seem as ridiculous as possible. Because the alternative is too stupid to accept.

    Forensic Files is my go-to fall-asleep show. Peter Thomas soothes me to sleep every night with the tales of how some housewife poisoned her husband with anti-freeze.

    Also, bonus points for the clip of Beth Stelling. She’s the best.

      Also makes for good clothes-folding entertainment when you know you don’t have time to watch something longer. They really do a good job of hooking you into the details of these real-life tragedies.

    Loved her on Mr. Show and there were so many other hilarious women on there: Sarah Silverman, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Janeane Garofalo and my favorite, Jill Talley. Her best sketch, IMO.

    I just happened to listen to both of Karen’s appearances on The CrabFeast podcast over the weekend, episodes #232 and #287 — her stories are all very entertaining, especially her tale of a car accident on the more recent ep (also she talks about the ghost experience on the first one and follows up about it on the second). I love listening to her — I feel like she’s my cool older cousin.

      I love those two episodes (the “cry into my fleece vest, they’re all dead” joke on the car accident one always makes me lol). Honestly, I could listen to a podcast of her just talking about her mom and dad. I love when she tells these little anecdotes on MFM.

      The car crash where she somehow fell out of the car before it crashed? And a female bystander held Karen as she screamed?? I listened to that episode at work and was crying at my desk, I was laughing so hard.

    Until my wife figured out their names (I knew ofKaren since I’m a total comedy nerd), when we talked about MFM the hosts were known as The One Without Vocal Fry (Karen) and The One With Vocal Fry (Georgia).

    What is up with the photo at the top? Is it even a photo, or one of those photo illustrations? I thought this was another Toy Chest collectibles crossover post, though I have no idea why someone would market a Karen Kilgariff action figure.
