    Like shooting fish in a barrel. Now I’m thinking she rushed off because texted her that he was going to kill himself, or something. Loser.

      Speculation, but I was thinking the same thing. I have a friend who rushed to help an abusive ex because he claimed he was suicidal. Luckily, she survived to learn not to help a manipulative man like this again.

      My mom used to have real deal, heart to heart talks about relationships with me as a kid. She told me to learn from her own failed marriage. One of the top lessons was don’t feel sorry for a manipulative, abusive partner especially if they claim they are suicidal. She said to ignore them and call the police depending on the situation. Some of the best advice I ever received.
