    “Trump actually took time out of the State of the Union to address the NFL anthem protests!” 

    Can we please stop referring to the actions of those that choose to kneel during the national anthem as a national anthem protest? What Kaepernick and those that are following his lead are doing is not protesting the national anthem, but are trying to bring attention to the masses the inequalities of justice that non-whites receive in this country. Their lack of honor for a faux patriotic moment isn’t about protesting an anthem but showing indifference to a symbol that does not recognize all that live under its banner.

      Calling it an anthem protest puts more inference on the anthem than the issue that is being protested. Whenever people talk about the protest do they talk about the lack of justice that certain groups of minorities receive or do they talk instead about disrespected soldiers, athletes being raised by bitches according to y’alls president and how the flag is now a sacrosanct object which shall not be impeded with. By calling it a lack of justice for non-whites we would be putting the emphasis back where it belongs and not on an inanimate object.

    It is amazing how politicians continue to use coded language and think we are too stupid to understand what they really mean. For example when they say “urban” or “inner city” they really mean black or minorities. Also, “rural” or “patriot” means white. Something to think about whenever you here politician speak ????

    I’m so glad that I watched “Black Lightening” instead. Despite the fact that in the end it was sad, I got more uplifting or upliftment (don’t go there. I know I’m Jesse creating words) from that.

    Honestly, I probably would have thrown something at my tv, something that I can’t afford to replace.

    The only selling point the Republicans have is “black and brown people are coming to rape and pillage everything you hold dear”. It is literally the only message they have. It is the message of the “America First” movement.

    And it keeps on winning. Imagine being so insecure by a person of color gaining a tiny percentage of the equality you have that you’d vote for Donald Trump. Imagine how miserable that person must be.

    Donald Trump is white insecurity personified.
