    Bipartisan: From the Latin meaning “both parties”; indicates legislation agreed upon by both Republicans and asshole conservatives.

    Truth. They aren’t even trying for Democrats, anymore (thank god). They first have to argue among themselves about whether their legislation fucks over most Americans in favor of the 1% or whether it just fucks over enough of them. Like, that’s how far drawn the Overton Window is in this iteration of Congress. It’s a negotiation between the regular old evil-ass “Republicans” and the oh-my-god-they-really-do-want-just-to-watch-the-world-burn “conservatives.” That’s it.

    I’m actually kind of glad they’ve largely cut us out from their Mad Maxian decision-making process. Yeah, sometimes we still get pulled in, anyway, because there is only so much room to move out of the way when two elephants are fighting or fucking. But when the shit hits the fan, I don’t want any ambiguity about who’s primary to blame.
