It’s probably only a coincidence, but has anyone noticed that, with exception of Jimmy Carter, every Democrat who’s been elected has been relatively young?
Kennedy, Clinton and Obama all were young men by any measure. Like, I’m just a dude and I noticed it. Plus you have (EXTREMELY RELATIVELY) liberals winning national elections in Canada and France.
It’s kind of crazy that Joe Biden and John Kerry and Bernie Sanders keep floating these 2020 trial balloons and no one in the national Democratic party has figured out that literally everytime they’ve run an old white dude (or woman in Hillary’s case) since the1960s they’ve lost, and that maybe in light of that and elections elsewhere in the world they should actually run younger candidates.
But maybe expecting the Democrats to see the obvious is asking too much. Sure, let’s allow John Kerry to have delusions about whether or not he should run for President. Why not? It’s not like the fate of the world is on the line.

  “Neo-liberal” has become code for “a person who knows how the government works and realizes you can’t pass legislation by clicking your heels three times and saying ‘there’s no place like single-payer healthcare’.”
  Neo-liberal has become synomous with people who understand that their are processes and layers and politics and a bunch of obstacles to actually fundamentally changing things in the world instead of blindly thinking that any old white dude with some nice rhetoric and a bag full of dreams can do anything he wants because he’s President. Being a neo-liberal means you understand that being President is not the same thing as being a king.

Whenever I have offered valid criticism of Sanders, I get called a neoliberal, which to me is the equivalent of “shade” in that folks learn a new word and use it without knowing what the hell it means.

If so, great, but considering where we are now, would it not be better to promote his policies through others rather than have himself at the top of the ticket?
