    All these Congress folks who aren’t attending are on some bullshit IMO. We can’t bail on our jobs just because the boss sucks. We either have to stay or quit and find something else.

    They are our representatives in Congress, it’s their job. Sorry the boss sucks but you were elected to do a job. Either do it or move out the way and let someone have that seat that will do it.

      but i agree they should be there and everyone should watch.

      if you don’t want to give a ratings bumb then tune in C-SPAN, as a non-profit they are not measured.

      Trump isn’t their boss. At best a colleague, at most technically a subordinate as they have the power to override and fire him.

      Technically the job that isn’t being done is total censure and removal of Trump due to several violations of law, including but not limited to imposing lawfully passed sanctions on Russia.

      Personally I’d like to see someone have the balls to bring Stormy Daniels, but well Dems don’t normally have much in the way of a spine even in the face of a wannabe dictator.

      It really amazes me that people can’t seem to realize that she can 1. hate her husband, hope he fails, and maybe send private “fuck yous” to him every once in a while AND 2. Still be a shitty person who is enabling him as he destroys the country. It’s not either-or. Her resentment of her marriage doesn’t make her some kind of hero.

      Most of the time, there’s at least a few members of SCOTUS who don’t show up - they haven’t had the whole 9-member bench there since 1972. But this year, they’re only getting four, the lowest turnout since over half the bench skipped Bush’s last SOTU in 2008. Roberts, Breyer, Kagan, and Gorsuch are the only ones showing up.

    I’m not certain it’s as much willing to rather than contractually obligated to save her “marriage,” and I think it’s a toss-up what I’d rather see more at this point—his tax returns or that pre-nup.

    Either way, she’s the furthest thing from a victim here.
