For all those panicking this means McCabe can now be a witness. However like people have been saying Mueller alone cannot save this democracy. This November people have to vote like their lives and democracy depends on it, because it fucking does. For all you who said there was no difference between Hillary and Trump feel free to go fuck yourselves

I feel like people are looking for Mueller to save them, but even if/when he does show what a criminal Trump is, it won’t matter if there’s a Congress willing to turn a blind eye to it.

Vote like your motherfucking life depends on it, because it does.

Vote or Die - was a T-shirt in 2004, let it be a motto in 2018 and beyond.

“He had enough of being undermined and criticized,” this source told CNN

It’s funny that the GOP is all about Law & Order until the Law & order is targeting them. I really wish McCabe stayed on just to spite them despite the bullshit he’s going through.

I tried staying in job to spite my bosses. After a year of them playing dirty tricks to maneuver me into a position where they could fire me I finally got tired of the games said Fuck You and left. Sometimes the spite (as sweet as it can be) isn’t worth the aggravation.

I agree with you. I’ve been in the same position myself working with certain clients/bosses that were complete assholes and just said “fuck it” and bounced. But I couldn’t give up the chance at fucking with the asshole of all assholes Donald Trump. I would be willing to get lashed with a Cat o’ Nine tails if it meant I could make him lose sleep for the next two months.

I’m assuming the Administration puts a crony in charge of the FBI and they quietly dismantle the Russia investigation from the inside rather than straight up firing Mueller which would be tantamount to admitting wrongdoing.

Or the worst thing possible won’t happen for once and things will be just fine. Might want to check your liquor cabinet just in case.

There is already someone in charge of the FBI. McCabe was just Deputy Director; he was only acting head for a few months last summer. Chris Wray was confirmed with bipartisan support in August

Before I lend my internet/moral support and outrage @ Trump...

Could I get a rundown on McCabe’s crimes against the black community?

On average, them Alphabet boys (CIA, FBI, NSA, USDA, NIH, etc) ain’t never really look out for us, unless they were forced to. And more often that not pursued policies that predictably destroyed elements within the community.

If nothing else we didn’t even get an apology for COINTELPRO and the assassination of Fred Hampton.

Stepping down and around Trump bullies has no traction but distraction continued.

Enough with the bullying; there must be some someone bright, quietly walking with a stick efficient enough to fight back, and soundly whip that cretin’s behind.

I think, in general, it would be very hard to be a career federal employee who deals with the executives in your agency during the Trump administration. Even if you aren’t someone who works somewhere that has gained their ire like the FBI, the CFPB or the EPA.

Everything is sloppy, messy and haphazard. The guy picked to run your agency likely is not well suited to the task, not to mention the fact that the odds of you getting furloughed without pay for stretches are higher than usual.

It’s unclear why McCabe has decided to retire just months from his retirement, or whether scrutiny over his tenure had intensified.

According to Washington Post, he is likely using his accrued vacation time to keep him “employed” until retirement. I’m not saying this means he isn’t stepping down because of Trump and the GOP being bonkers, but it does not seem that he will lose out on anything retirement wise.

can anyone blame McCabe for leaving this Beverly Hillbillies administration?

No that’s unfair - Granny was more competent than any five members of the administration combined!

Even Jethro could cut a more Presidential figure than Jabba The POTUS…

Using accumulated leave, huh? Someone felt really threatened. You can’t fire someone for cause when they are on leave, if they’ve already resigned.

    That was a calculated decision.
