Dave Weigel is a good reporter. Back in his Slate days, when he did more pundit-type stuff, he made it pretty clear he was more libertarian than liberal. He tweeted something from his personal account, realized it was incorrect, deleted it, and apologized. Which is a much, MUCH higher standard than Trump holds himself to. Trump tells crazy lies on Twitter and in person just about every day, but he’s calling for Weigel to be fired for an honest mistake on his personal account? Ridiculous. Insane. Dangerous. Classic Trump.
Meanwhile, Trump spends 4 to 8 hours a day watching TV - according to his own aides and staffers. General/Chief of Staff Kelly struggles to get him to come to work by 9:30 AM, and he works in the same building he lives! If one of these guys deserves to be fired, it sure ain’t Weigel.

He spends all this time getting into fights on Twitter like some idiot teenager, instead of, I dunno, doing his job as president and running the goddamn country! But I’m not surprised. Donald Trump is no president. He’s no leader. He’s just a guy who ran for office because, like Scar from the Lion King (and Simba in Act I), he thought being in charge meant doing whatever he wanted. He had no intentions of helping anyone but himself.
Right now, this country doesn’t have a president. Not with that rat bastard in the Oval Office.
