Can we just give Nick Offerman the lead role in a Teddy Roosevelt movie already? He’s the only one manly enough to play the Manliest President.

Manlier than Abraham Lincoln? Perhaps...perhaps not.

While Teddy is manly is many ways, I believe that starting fake wars so you can play hero is decidedly NOT manly.

      It is cowardly.

As a Parks & Rec fan, I thought the message repeated over and over again was that Ron was a good, compassionate person with an honorable personal code of ethics, but his libertarianism, when applied to actual government, would be... Not great.

Sweetums would rule over both citizens and government alike, pushing their ‘child-sized’ sodas (because the cups are the size of an actual child) along with plutocratic puppets like Bobby Newport. Apparently, Pai thought it was a story about how a liberal villain prevented the free market from mandating daily sugar bar consumption.

Pai strikes me as being one of those guys we hear about who thought Michael Douglas’s “Greed is good” speech in Wall Street was meant to be taken up as an ethos. It doesn’t surprise me that the intended humor of Ron’s extreme libertarianism is lost on him.

If you have Swansons pyramid of greatness hanging in your office in a non ironic way, you are a sociopath and comedy is lost on you.

Me personally, I have Carlan’s 7 words promently posted in my cubicle and spend all day loudly debating my first admendment rights with HR because I get comedy.

Apparently, the character Pai most identified with was Jeremy Jamm. Or possibly Jean-Ralphio.

Wow, even if I didn’t know that was from Ron Swanson I would have read that in Ron Swanson’s voice.

That may be one of the most elegant burns on the Internet

I love that the screen grab is from the “This is an excellent rectangle!”ep.

Also this makes me very happy to read and Nick Offerman is a treasure and a gift to us all.

Why do I have the feeling he uses that pyramid completely free of irony? (the pyramid that has “Teamwork” and “selfishness” at the same level of importance...)
