Not joking: the artist was actually planning on doing another Zootopia comic that would’ve tackled climate change. That seems to have fallen through, though...

That’s not really a fair comparison.

Zootopia does not espouse a pro-choice message in the way Wall-E explicitly presents a conservationist one.

I’ve been on the internet for a while now, but this is truly flabberghasting to me. The levels of fan fiction necessary to serve as a basis for these comics are dizzying:

    1. Zootopia
    2. Judy and Rick having intimate relations
    3. Judy and Rick having unprotected intimate relations
    4. Foxes and rabbits being able to procreate, together
    5. Zootopians having an open, and contentious, debate about abortion
    6. Getting hit by a car
    7. Rick leaving a pregnant Judy over abortion
    8. Finding someone not only willing to draw this dreck, but also deranged enough to conceive it

I’ve been informed the fox is actually named “Nick,” which isn’t important at all but wholly appropriate for the internet.

So I was on here a little earlier and noticed this headline referring to “pro-life” comics; when I came back a little later it had changed to “anti-abortion”. And you know what? I applaud the change. Let’s stop calling these people pro-life just because that’s what they want to be called, when so often they do nothing to help make anyone’s actual life easier. They’re entire thing is opposing abortion, so anti-abortion is the appropriate label. They should just accept it.

The headline could go one step further in accuracy and say “anti-choice.”

One of the weirder parts is how well illustrated it is... they even got the fonts right. I mean, they’re not 100% professional but they look a lot better than your usual fan fic.

This tracks, considering the same thing could be said to describe one of the most high-profile pro-life comic stories of all time: Jaka’s Story.

Huh. Let me preface this by saying that the comic is creepy and gross and shouldn’t exist because, hey, having childrens’ animated characters fuck is creepy and gross and shouldn’t exist. That said, having read the comic, it can be argued that this comic isn’t Pro-Life/Anti-Choice.

The comic actually gives Judy solid reasons for not wanting a child. At no point is her reasoning is false, misguided or even wrong. She points out that it’s only a month into her pregnancy and that it’s not a baby inside her, that there are strong possibilities of birth defects, that giving birth could seriously endanger her health and, that at this time her life, she isn’t ready to be a mother and give up her career.

Nick is actually the one saddled with stupid zealot ideas of talking about the thing like an actually baby and doing the whole “what if your mom aborted you” argument while whining about how Judy will probably never want to have children with him. It might give him the final word in the argument but the only way you could think that he has a good argument is if you’re already a religious zealot firmly in the Anti-Abortion camp.

Again, there is no need to have Disney characters fuck but the comic isn’t as horrible as you would thing and its goal appears more to be “Melodramatic Manga” rather than “Stop Murdering Babies”

EDIT: I just went to the Artist’s DeviantArt page and it looks like the story continues, Judy realizes the errors of her ways, they marry and she happily has his children so, uh, never mind. Fuck this creepy guy.

Okay, this is definitely a Christian zealot’s comic: woman abandons all personal agency to make man happy.

Yeah, these types don’t avoid other opinions. Half of religious school (not my decision) was some dude saying, “They’ll say this...” and then giving you the “right” response. So them posing the reasons doesn’t win them any credit. It’s not like they actually considered the arguments.

I won’t read it but I’d be shocked if the child they have is not only not a freak but some kind of amazing being. Because built into every argument of theirs is “you might be killing the next Mozart.”

In any case, fuck this creepy guy.

I initially misread the headline as Zoolander anti-abortion fan comics.

“The Derek Zoolander School for Kids Who Weren’t Aborted”... this would be a perfect sequel where Derek has to save an orphanage.

Great Job, Internet! doesn’t normally mean that sincerely, does it? I thought it was like a “way to fuck it up” type deal. But, I’m wrong a lot, so there’s that, too.

When it started, The GJI feature used to sincerely recognize people who had come up with creative new means of expression using the Internet as a medium. Now, it’s an entirely cynical dumping ground for all the shit which reminds us daily that the Internet should really be burned to the ground and the earth around it salted so nothing foul may grow in its place.

In nature rabbits are known to kill their young, sooo probably not the best choice of animal for a pro-life message.

Missed that but a quick google reveals fixes are known to kill cubs particularly outside of their family.

So clutching at straws the point still stands, nature doesn’t follow human morality.

I’m sure the Disney corporation is thrilled about all of this. I guess my animated short supporting Confederate statues and starting the cast of Sing! isn’t as original as I thought.
