Wow, an opportunity to post what nobody asked for: SpaceCop’s Black Mirror S3 ratings!

    1. San Junipero

    2. Nosedive

    3. Hated in the Nation

    4. Men Against Fire

    5. Shut Up And Dance

an incalculably vast gulf of shittiness, and finally

    6. Playtest

Here’s hoping S4 doesn’t have any episode with themes as weak as “WHAT IF VIDEO GAME, BUT BAD”

San Junipero was obviously fantastic but I also loved Nosedive. Man that episode truly scared me.

Yeah, Playtest is probably the only episode of the whole series I’d call bad. It’s frustrating because some of the themes around the fringes, with the main character’s parents, his inability and unwillingness to face negative feelings and conversations, etc., those are interesting, human topics that the main part of the story could have explored. What if those fears had manifested somehow in the augmented reality game rather than spider monsters? Hell, this very theme is straight from the Silent Hill video game series, where characters’ fears, insecurities, and dark secrets literally manifest themselves as monsters. THAT would’ve been a much more interesting episode than what we got.

So, all those articles saying the season was coming in 2018 were full of shit, right?

Awesome, I’ve never been happier about poor journalism.

Three days before, so basically 2018.

All those articles saying 2018 were saying that because that was what Netflix was saying. Evidently Netflix saw what a shitty year 2017 has been and decided to take mercy on us with a goofy star trek parody. You can’t really blame netflix’s vague information on poor journalism.

The only thing I need to know about the new season is its release date. The other stuff I’ll find out after I, you know, watch it.

Word. I just skimmed this for the release date and that’s all I’m reading. I can’t think of a show that better rewards you for going in 100% cold.

Those actors were in season 2 of Fargo? All I remember is Kirsten Dunst and Patrick Wilson’s butt in merlot police trousers.

I wasn’t familiar with Jesse Plemons by name when watching season 2 of Fargo, then I saw he was supposedly in Breaking Bad and then I realized that Kirsten Dunsts’s husband in the show is also the dead eyed fucker who killed the kid in BB.  Looked a lot different

Wasn’t there a rumor floating that we’d get a San Junipero follow-up this season?

I hope not.   One and done is how this show needs to stay

That’s too bad. My boyfriend was looking forward to it, because he knew it was the only episode that I’d watch with him - since the first one was the only episode of this show that didn’t strike me as basically “my iphone made me craaaazzzzyyy”. I really hate this show most of the time, haha.

Finally, a release date! I’m off until January 4 as well, so this is perfect.

Is Michaela Coel the first actor to be in more than one episode?

I have the week between Christmas and New Year’s off, but the timing still won’t work for me. I’m traveling to New Mexico the 28th - 31st to visit with my Dad, who is in very poor health. I somehow don’t think he’s going to be all in on a Black Mirror marathon. Boo.

Yeah, certainly not an uplifting show, is it? May be a bit much for someone suffering with health problems. :(

“Having seen the complete fourth season, I’m inclined to agree...”

All my jealousy buttons were pushed by this sentence. Too bad this won’t be introduced on the weekend before Christmas. Last year, my extended family enjoyed “San Junipero” and “White Bear” together.

This show has such a stupendous batting average! That first episode is so good that it even boosted my enjoyment of the solid successive episodes. (“Crocodile” was disappointingly non-literal; it should’ve been named “Murder Pringles.”)
