Every time that movie comes up, it’s that thumbnail. I’m into women taking their shirts off as much as the next guy - moreso even, I’ll own that - but every time?

It’s particularly apropos for this topic too, “Here are the best parts of the best movies this year, here is an attractive lady getting undressed to emphasize this point.”

Meh. I was kinda bored by Blade Runner 2049. But I don’t think that any one movie should serve as a litmus test for a person’s taste.

Not so long as they can articulate why they felt the way they did about a movie.

Plus, anyone who’s got The Florida Project in their Top Five is doing something right.

I enjoyed BR 2049, but it didn’t really linger in my memory, if I’m being honest.

Take: The best scene in Baby Driver only featured minimal time with Baby behind the wheel.

I don’t think you can count SW: Return of the Empire that Strikes Back with Warm Fuzzy Memories as “Best of” when the damned thing hasn’t even officially been released yet.

That’s like claiming brussel sprouts covered in fire ants and Drumpf Dandruff is a “dish of the year” before you’ve tried it.

Though I agree with your point, honestly brussel sprouts roasted with honey-fattened fire ants and balsamic vinegar sounds delicious.

This is one of my favorite end-of-year features, but it does feel like he is putting less effort into cutting the clips to the music each year. The first year he did this—2014—is still the best one:

He’s been doing it longer than that. I think 2011 is the earliest I’ve seen.

Bit of wishful thinking her, unless someone got a very exclusive early screening... :)

Man, Personal Shopper is a beautiful movie with an strong performance, but an empty empty thing.
