    Emails are such a cold way to pursue celebrities anyways. Call me old fashioned, but I like to stalk in the tried and true fashion: buying a Map to the Stars, driving out to their house, and waiting for hours outside until they turn up, and then rushing out to get them to sign my copy of “The Catcher in the Rye.”

      Are your people “the blacks who like beyonce”? or “the gays”? or perhaps “the teenage girls” or “the adult white women who regularly karaoke to ‘irreplaceable’” or perhaps “the australian destiny’s child fans”?

      In any event, anyone who uses the words “ashamed of my people” always sounds to me like they desperately want people to think they are “one of the good ones” - and that always irritates the shit out of me more than a heavy dose of laxa-tea ever could.     I’m left with the non-impression that mr McLevy wants me to believe that my attitude towards Beyonce + [irony] equals what i read here - [irony] ergo he and i feel the same about Beyonce.

    Now i might be one of the few humans around who have never had much exposure to Beyonce, i have no opinion, this is why i can notice what mr. McLevy did here: using ironic detachment to fill all the gaps between Beyonce-love tinged with a ‘meh’ dissemblement, to a culture-hate that includes a real disdain for any perceived Beyonce-worship.

    Am I alone in the fact that Beyonce holds practically no real estate in my consciousness?? I see her jumping around on TV once in a while, or I see a picture of her hoisting a trophy. That’s honestly about it, and I’m doing great.
