      I think they only got a few of them, and even those would have evaded justice if not for Shaun King’s relentless pursuit of them.

      Also, DeAndre himself was arrested!

    Unite the Right organizer Jason Kessler is currently lobbying the city of Charlottesville to let him hold a second rally in August 2018.

    And no doubt he’ll get it because wishing the extermination of a huge proportion of your own country is acceptable speech over there.

    I’ve said it before but I swear if the US, in particular White Americans on the home front, had actually suffered in World War II (and no I’m not ignoring the soldiers who died before the trolls come) in a similar way to the rest of the world did then maybe they wouldn’t be so naive/hand-wavy about this.

      Relatedly, there was a strong fascist movement in the US prior to Germany declaring war, across all segments of white society, including government officials & business leaders (who actually plotted a coup against FDR). They knuckled down during the war and came out the other side hailed as “patriots,” maintained & enhanced their positions of power & influence & started playing a long game to dismantle the New Deal & promote “states rights” as a means to dismantle civil rights gains by women & minorities.

Every person who was injured and needed hospitalization was removed from the scene and received treatment within thirty minutes, a remarkable feat given the circumstances. This prompt, effective response represents a bright success on a day largely filled with failure.”

    It took them 10-15 minutes to even show up, military trucks with mounted guns arrived before the ambulances came, and police stood around pointing enormous guns at everyone (almost all counter-protesters, the only white supremacists were the shitbag with the car, who fled the scene immediately, and scattered infiltrators) while preventing counter-protester medics from helping the wounded.
