You ever read something that makes you want to say some things, but you realize you’d be an asshole to say those things? Cuz that’s where I am.

Like, is it weird that I want to know if the husband here had mental health problems before? Cuz what Cox and his wife did was shitty, and I don’t disagree it probably hurt like hell, but suing for emotional distress seems a bit much? Unless he’s dealing with anxiety or something, which I personally know SUCKS, as does depression.

I don’t know, all I can do is SMH at this one.

Yeah, I got questions but I’m hoping someone else asks so I don’t have to.

I thought i was alone!!!! I left a comment a second ago about how this could be one of those BBC Hotwife/cuckold scenarios where one partner was int it way more than the other. So glad I’m not alone.

I’m sensing a lot of conflicting emotions in the comments. I’m going to take a side on this by invoking the Batman rule No. 38. I am then going to go full hypocrite and totally negate my own argument soon after.

    Batman Rule #38

Seeing your parents murdered in front of you is a horrible, devastating, life-changing experience. Being a billionaire kinda makes it better.

Despite my glowing and effervescent personality, I too have felt the heart-wrenching sensation of finding out that I was an involuntary “tunnel brother.” Would a large influx of cash have erased my pain? No, but a fucking motorcycle would have definitely helped the healing process along, especially if the other guy (aka that motherfucker) and/or she (aka whyudodis *cries*)had to pay for it.

This is where my conflict comes in, though. Even while acknowledging all that, I can’t make myself be that petty, rather, I cannot sell the rest of my dignity for said motorcycle. I mean, you’d have to be pretty manic to be riding high enough to still be able to take a self-esteem hit after finding out about the deep betrayal, so I think the normal reflex would be to curl up into the fetal position to protect the little bit of self-esteem you can clutch desperately to your painfully throbbing chest while the rest of it slips through your fingers like hot salty tears.

    But that’s just me.

Being kind of a bitch to get the money is the self-esteem hit.

I’m trying to figure out how I feel about this. As soon as I know, I will get back to you. To assist me deliberations, I need to know if he hit it or not. Seems like both would have some sort of “emotional distress” if all this was done over IG and DMs.

    Per linked article:

“Adultery is not grounds for divorce in North Carolina, but under state law, a spouse can sue their spouse’s lover in the event of an affair, hence Jeffords’s lawsuit.”

WTF!!! I see why husband is mad.

Also, the text messages where Cox wants to impregnate random white woman but not be in a committed relationship is too much. Cox out here playing every black man stereotype and ole girl ready to jump at the chance of being the Becky.

That is some crazy legal crap there. Really? I mean I could see it if you hypnotized the spouse or something and took away their free will but this alien of affection lawsuit should be placed on the estranged spouse not the lover—although we know it was done this way cause the lover in this case has the money and apparently the golden D.

I’ve got no problem with it, especially if the married couple have kids. Also, the wife is a dummy and an indiscreet damn fool; she will be without a husband and a boyfriend before long.
