I’m no genius but I really don’t understand what special kind of idiot one would have to be to assume an organization that honestly thinks athletes as cattle fodder would just willingly give $100 million to be used in any manner their slaves (excuse me, employees) would see fit.

Why? Why are some Black folks so quick to just roll over as soon as the White people they’re fighting against decide to throw them a bone? The bone is ALWAYS POISONED. ALWAYS. Nothing ever comes without cost. You don’t need to be a genius to figure that out.

It’s not rolling over, it’s claiming a victory. One arsehole will happily sell out everyone else for their 15 minutes of, in this case, “social justice” glory.

    I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again;

Malcolm Jenkins isn’t a coon, but he is coon-adjacent.

From jump, expecting the NFL to really come out of their pocket to suddenly support a thing they all didn’t want to protest was suspect. That Malcolm Jenkins stepped out of line and basically made a deal without the other players all agreeing, and for him to do so while quasi-agreeing all protests would stop...well that is some coon shit, and it undermines everything the players are standing for and kneeling against.

Expecting the NFL to play fair is dumb. For someonelike Malcolm Jenkins to undermining a movement is pretty unforgivable, even if he naively thought the owners were being sincere.

The money provided for the donation is going to be siphoned from the NFL’s funds for breast-cancer awareness and military-service initiatives, so it won’t cost the NFL a dime, according to Slate.

And I’m sure no one at the blaze or breitbart is goign to spin that as black players taking money from veterans to funnel to their own interests. This is some devious shit.

      That’s exactly what will happen.

It will look like this: “Those ungrateful, spoiled, unpatriotic black primadonnas wouldn’t stand for the national anthem because they hate America. And now, those ungrateful, spoiled, unpatriotic black primadonnas are taking money from military families because they hate America.”

So the fuckers didn’t just sellout a bunch of players but fucked over other charities just so he could claim a Pyrrhic victory?

No doubt they’ll see this as succeeding in the goal of the protests (they haven’t) when the reality is they’ve given a shitload of ammunition to those claiming the protesters just want attention instead of justice all for the low price of what, two season-long sponsorship deals?

… the Susan G. Komen Pink Ribbon-type women can be pretty loud.

I’d be at least interested to hear what they have to say about this. Or if someone has even TOLD them about this.

      Anyone …??

Overheard at a recent owners meeting...

“You thought WE were getting off 100 Million? Not while my president is orange and my Lambo is blue.”

Cause OF COURSE this had to be even more terrible than just using money to quiet dissent. I bet the next development in the story is that they arranged to have the money delivered by dropping it on a paraplegic orphan with cancer and their comfort kitten. That way they can go full Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain.

That’s...just about the amount of shameless ratfuckery I expected, actually.

That said, due to Susan G. Komen, I think we’re all aware of what breast cancer is: PINK.

“NFL owners to donate some $90 million to various social justice causes...”

“We in the NFL front office know that no one represents ‘justice for society’ like our hard-worker Heroes-in-blue who keep us all safe. So we are donating $10 million to the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Legal Defense Fund!”

Turns out I was on the wrong side of history, and the NFL is exactly who we all believed it to be. The money provided for the donation is going to be siphoned from the NFL’s funds for breast-cancer awareness and military-service initiatives

Damn, I can’t believe they did that. Once this gets out all the people who thought the protests were disrespectful to the military are going to be even more furious ! Donald Trump will probably call the owners sons of bitches, or worse, after he hears this !

I’m waiting for the inevitable tweet from Trump lambasting the NFL players for taking money away from breast cancer awareness and military support, followed up by one ripping in to Reid for not being grateful.

I posited that protest had sprouted a monetary achievement and an opportunity for an underserved community to benefit from the attention the protest garnered.

There’s never a two-headed nickel handy when you need to rig a coin-toss, is there!

And much as it sickens me to say this as a Raiders fan, there’s some good people at the ‘49ers…
