Discrimination in any form in unconscionable and will not be tolerated at Kokomo High School.

Ahhh yes. They will not tolerate discrimination of any kind, and they will punish those who bring evidence of discrimination, too.

And people wonder why people sometimes take 30+ years to report assault from when they were children. This kid can’t even get away with reporting something that indisputably happened.

Who knew that making accusations against someone older or in a position of authority could have potential negative ramifications for the victim?

Hey, now, rules are rules, so even when you notify us of rules being broken by people who definitely know the rules and should be an example of them, well now people who tattle tale while dark are going to have to know the rules against people who tattle tale while dark against people who are privileged, so we’re going to have to enforce that rule as well. We can’t have these dark children discriminating and getting out of place against the privileged class that oversees and keeps them in line, see, because rules are rules.

If the student hadn’t recorded this it would have been a case of he said/she said. Sounds like retaliation from Ostapa’s buddies rather than the enforcement of a school rule designed to protect the privacy of students.

No, rules are rules. They’re just ALSO enforcing the rule against children of color stepping out of line and bringing to light anything done wrong by any of the privileged white persons who are kindly and nice enough to give of their time to work for money with these underprivileged because brown children. The kids need to follow the rules, too, just like the staff. The rules are there to protect EVERYBODY.

Schools seem more intent on teaching that following the “law” is more important than serving justice.

I thought I would get any with being sad for the good student’s mistreatment at the fouled hands of school admin...

Now this...roaring in my head, and curse words spewing from my lips, and...

that suicidal seek and destroy message beeping in my soul

because; I’m recalibrated by those photos.

Indiana is a “one party consent law” state.

Time for the parents to lawyer up for an easy victory.

I’ve seen administrators use video of fights to punish kids who fought or to find out who started it. The kids who filmed were never in any trouble.

My guess is they had to suspend the student because the employee, who should be fired, might sue and actually have a case because you know..lawyers.
