At this point, I’ve stopped using the word “privilege” with White people and with other men because they deliberately misinterpret it as a way of dodging the conversation and I now use “circumstance” instead.
I tell them, by matter of circumstance, they were born White straight males. Due to hundreds of years of systemic racism and colonialism and thousands of years of misogyny and homophobia, they have social advantages that are verifiable and quantifiable.
These advantages forced a social hierarchy onto people that places White straight males at the top and only members of those groups: White, straight and male can dismantle the specific sources of oppression coming from their groups.
Stop talking to us about experiences you’ve never had. You’ve never been denied employment, housing, healthcare, your humanity or any other social metric because of your Whiteness, your maleness or your heterosexuality. Either help us right these wrongs or go get a swastika tattoo and be with your team.

As a former professional gamer and major LEGO enthusiast, Minecraft is trash. It’s ugly, uninspired and lazy. I didn’t get it when my students raved about it and I don’t get it now.
This dude being ignorant has no real change on my opinion of the game, but let’s send him to trash city where he belongs.
Minecraft should have been canceled years ago.

  You guys do realize that Notch hasn’t been involved with Minecraft for over 2 years right? Microsoft purchased it from Notch and his old company for around 2 billion dollars. So saying it’s “time to quit Minecraft” literally makes no sense.

Ever since he sold Minecraft, he’s been this sad bastard with too much money and a house he doesn’t need (Beyonce and Jay-Z tried to bid on it) and doesn’t do anything anymore. All he does is whine on Twitter 24/7.

It is okay to be white Persson (no pun intended), as none of us were able to choose the color we wore when we entered this world.
What’s not okay is to place blinders onto the fact that being born white does give one social and economic advantages by default.
If you struggled and suffered to become the successful businessman that you are, kudos for your perseverance. Just be mindful that your “starting line” was still miles ahead of PoC.
