Just get off fucking social media man, damn. The fact that he feels he NEEDS to channel his struggles to strangers and the world all on social media is sad within itself. Also, the Complex link made me question is this nigga having an existential crisis or some shit.

I’m really tired of assholes like him attacking women and spreading misogynistic garbage and then later getting to blame it on medication or some other bullshit. Plenty of people take anti-depressants and don’t slut shame women or insinuate that it’s okay to sexually assault women because of what they’re wearing. They also don’t fake emotional breakdowns to try and get the courts to grant custody of children to them.

    Fuck Tyrese.

Tyrese has been a goofy ass for years and has always given ‘holier than thou’ relationship advice. He’s very churchy, and gets gushy about his daughter.

Go follow him on fb*; scroll back as far as you can, and it’s clear Tyrese is a drama king and either a bit stupid or naive. (He’s pretty much a much better looking Steve Harvey.)

That last bit of behavior seemed way out of character though, and I think he really did have a mental episode.

*If you need receipts. His wife should really just lock all that shit down.

So Rexulti is a anti-psychotic medication used to treat schizophrenia or sometimes used in combination with other drugs to treat major depressive disorder. It is not something you prescribe to treat someone a little stressed out as he implies. I hope he is getting the right medical advice for whatever is going on with him.

Thanks for this, Mike. Black people need to talk a lot more about mental illnesses and disorders. It affects the black community probably just as much as it does whites but our culture is always blamed for our shortcomings. There’s more of us that need help than anyone really recognizes.

He literally brings it up once and basically in passing. It’s like thanking Trump for bringing up sexual harrassment. It’s entirely incidental, and there are better ways and better people to bring up these issues in a responsible and non-incidental way.

So, you can save your praise for Tyrese on this one.

Now, I loves me an antidepressant and am familiar with the unfortunate reality that the side effects may sometimes send one into a tizzy, but when it comes to Tyrese, hasn’t this man shown his ass on social media multiple times over the years?

On a serious note, maybe he’s just not been on treatment or properly treated for a long time? I mean, that would seem like the most likely explanation to me. The thing about mental health treatment is that you can be unbalanced without it...and you can also have difficulty finding the right medications on it. It can take you years to find the balance, and it’s not always easy to keep. And, as you said, sometimes the side effects themselves can do as much damage as the disease itself, which is why it’s important to find the right medication.

If he’s truly sick, even on medication I’d not be at all surprised by his behavior.

Anyway, his draconian views on women are definitely not a part of his mental illness, and he can without a doubt be judged harshly for those.

WE KNOW the difference in real hair and fake clips-ons, we know eyelash extensions...

First off, speak for your goddamn self. If you know that much, maybe you should be a stylist.

Secondly, mine your business, of which you seem to have a lot of. Worry about your damned self.

Thanks for the reminder.

Histrionic personality disorder is characterized by a pattern of excessive sensitivity and attention-seeking behavior. Desire for attention is indicated by at least five of the following:

      • He or she feels uncomfortable when the center of attention is not on him or her.
      • The individual’s interactions with others are usually inappropriately seductive or provocative.
      • He or she shows quickly changing and shallow expression of emotions.
      • The individual uses his or her physical appearance to attract attention.
      • The individual’s speech is lacking in detail.
      • He or she is dramatic and exaggerates his or her emotions.
      • The individual is easily influenced by others.
      • He or she views relationships as more intimate than they really are.

Okay, pet peeve. You know the Al Gore internet thing was a fake scandal created by the utterly corrupt and immoral right wing? Not sure what the purpose is for repeating it here. Without addressing the controversy you’re just perpetuating the lie.
