    Philando was so well respected by the St. Paul school district, fundraising in his memory has raised $75k for the students’ lunches. The kids in his school loved him, and millions of people watched his Diamond calling Philando’s murderer “sir” while he held a gun on her and HER CHILD. And this cowardly, insecure, racist fucker does not even have the balls to own up to his evil. They are another species-no one can tell me this venom is simply the result of bias and lack of education.

      I remember seeing parents wiping tears away on the news, describing how Philando always took the extra minute to talk to their (seemed like largely neuro-atypical) kids, and made those kids feel loved, safe and welcome.

      You’re right, this officer is a heartless, evil, ass.

    A racist police officer. oh, wow i’m truly shocked.

    At this point this word salad of LinkedIn entry bothers me more.

    “experienced Sergeant with a demonstrated history of working in the law enforcement industry.”

    Is he referring to some specific time when he demonstrated his history of working in law enforcement? Also for law enforcement to be an industry wouldn’t it have to produce some sort of tangible product? I guess they produce a lot of rapists and murderers, but I’m not sure that counts as a product.

      Sir, Thank you for assuming there is any rhyme or reason associated with this critter.

      I think in this instance law enforcement is an industry;

      and the product is excrement...

      as demonstrated by this disgustingly foul load: “Minnesota’s City Pages describes McBroom as a Sergeant on the Rice County Minn. Sherrif’s Department and a city councilman in the small town of Elysian, Minn.”

      An industry can produce services, not just tangible products. Unfortunately, the law enforcement industry sees their service not as public welfare and order, but rather measure success by how many people are locked up.

      An egregious example that comes to mind, is the California Corrections Officers union spending millions lobbying to pass and retain mandatory minimum sentences and the three strikes law:

    Has anyone published a modern Green Book? Articles this and several others you’ve written could start an interactive map of places where the best parts of our constitution are ignored if you’re PoC. You could save a lot of people from the system and bad job transfers. An injustice map on The Root. (Let it fuck up their property values, the real white kryptonite.) It should go without saying that this evil should not exist, but some of our nation’s geography needs to literally be painted as hateful.

      Yes. Also, the Michael Kors purse thing confused me... you can get them for like $30 at TJ Maxx. And someone who is trying to convince a judge of their stability in order to get their kid back, of course they would dress in their best “middle-class lady” outfit!

    “ It’ll be gone in 6 months on crack cocaine” is exactly what this lying POS said. She should go after him next in court.

      “Them”. His racist ass is hanging just above the N word, you can practically see him squirm wanting to scratch that itch. Motherfucker needs to be stripped of his badge and job and prolly investigated for federal hate crimes charges. You just know he’s got a backlog of that kind of bullshit in his department.

    We need to get this guy out of office and out of uniform ASAP! He’s going to murder dozens of minorities in the next six months, if history is any indicator.

    I grew up about 20 miles from Elysian and spent a lot of time fishing at the many lakes in the area. This doesn’t surprise me in the least. People around there do not have much experience dealing with people of color, so they automatically resort to stereotypes and bigotry. He’ll get a slap on the wrist or a reprimand, keep his job(s) and go about his life. But seriously, FUCK THIS GUY!
