Another sister lost to a horrible decision and another sister, her baby, who will forever be affected. It’s never-ending and we have way too many of us who never want to talk about this, another in a long list of “taboo” issues that the black community gets all hush about.

I remember when I was that dude’s age. Going through a breakup, trying to get her to talk to me, not understanding why she didn’t and being pissed off about it. Why? What did I do wrong? Why don’t you want me anymore???

While I never, ever got to the point where I wanted to do bodily harm, I was in a dark place for a little while.

Thank God I had family who were there for me to get me past it. I wish this guy would have had someone there to get him through and I wish that we, collectively could come out of our dark places and start talking, start doing something more.
