So project veritas pays her to cook up a fake story for the post. let’s say she’s even halfway decent at running a con (which clearly she is not) and sells the post a fake story which they publish. Does Veritas then out her as fake? Veritas associates her real name with fraud and she’s fine with that?

  She’d likely see herself as a conservative martyred hero or some such. The long game is to portray the Post as credulous and possibly printing fake stories, thus casting into doubt all of the other women’s testimonies.
  I do not remember who did this with Planned Parenthood but it caused a lot of fallout that took literal years to clear.

  They’re trying to record reporters saying they are working to make Moore drop out of the race. When that didn’t happen she bounced from the one reporter to another. They’ll then edit the videos to make them seem as suspicious as possible.

  I also wonder what the point of the gofundme was. With a goal of $2000 what are you even going to do when you get there? That won’t even put down a security deposit on an efficiency apartment in New York.
  I moved 2 years ago and by the time I finally had all my stuff in a new place, I was $6k in the hole, and my new city wasn’t nearly as expensive as New York.

In a tweet, the sheriff’s office said the man claimed to work for Trump and was “testing the system.”
A Millbury, Mass. woman, the wife of a policeman, reported earlier this month that her house had been robbed of jewelry and cash, and that the burglars had spray-painted “BLM”—a likely reference to the Black Lives Matter movement—on the outside. The only problem with this timely story? It was all made up.

I wonder what percent of bullshit is just republicans ‘testing’ the system because they think it’s bullshit.

Whatever legal identity “Project Veritas” has it should be stripped. The group engages in fraud and has frequently violated the law. They’re immensely lucky they’ve gotten so minimal punishment so far, but the record makes clear they have ill intent and did not learn from the sanctions imposed on them.

  That interview was amazing. I loved how she was completely straight faced and honest throughout. There’s no way I would have made it through. I can’t even do a prank call without cracking up, or talk to my annoying roommate without rolling my eyes. I was kind of touched at the end of the video too, because it seemed like she was following through with her commitment to reporting the “victim’s” story as thoroughly as possible and exposing the men taking advantage of her. I know that Jaime Phillips is an adult who is responsible for her own stupid and immoral (illegal?) actions, but she is the little fish in this situation.
