    Well, actually..

    1. he was a known domestic abuser (#1 sign of mass murders)

    2. he was a-ok to buy and own many weapons, despite #1

    3. he was known to discharge those weapons while just being a asshole

    4. he was a white guy with a criminal history

    And now his wife and all those other folk are dead, kids are trauma’d, and the president is tweeting out thoughts/prayers for... Texas.

    So, no, sheriff, killing his wife is not what started this whole event.

      And that waste of skin tried to hide her body so she’d just rot, and her family wouldn’t know what happened. He wasn’t hiding shit else was he, and wanted cops to kill him.

      Ah, come on dude. Just be happy that the person you intended to happily live out your days with, doesn’t treat you like a punching bag, and hasn’t murdered you.

      Also, nobody wants to have sex w/ Avery Brooks moralizing something in the background. (Unless he is physically present, then carry on.)

    According to the report, the gunman was out on bail after being charged with stabbing a neighbor. Other neighbors had filed complaints about him firing hundreds of rounds from his house. The day before the shootings, he had been the subject of a domestic violence call.

    Uhhh... what? The dude that stabbed his neighbour, with complaints about firing rounds from his house, didn’t have the cops just pop back with a search warrant?

    Right... crime doesn’t stop you from having a gun. My bad.

      Not if you’re a white man apparently. I don’t get why the fucking cops didn’t respond to the gunshots, or wtf his gun wasn’t taken while on bail for a violent crime. I have a family member who was convicted of a financial crime a few years ago. It was a fight for her to make bail, and though she commited the “sin” of testifying against her co-conspirators who’d ACTUALLY set it up so she’d take the fall had she not done so, they all received the same sentence. YES, as the public face of the operation, she got the same sentence as the people who designed the crime and carried out all but the final step, which they coerced her to carry out. She only got house arrest (which she had to pay for iirc) because the jail was too crowded. Anyone who thinks there isn’t racial bias in the justice system is fucking delusional.

      We have racial bias to some noticeable degree in the Canadian legal system, but living outside the US, in what appears to be reality now, makes the extremes of the US shine like Rudolph’s nose on a “Happy Holiday.”

      I’m white ( Well... the Sami people of Norway aren’t quite “white.”) and I fully acknowledge that I would spend a lot of time indoors if that weren’t the case.

      Michael Moore made a decent point on Real Time, our country requires written permission from a mother, a wife/girlfriend and/or any ex-wife that may exist, in order to get a firearms license as a male in Canada.

    A black person can’t even jaywalk without being arrested but a white guy...

    If this had been a black guy in a black neighborhood.....

    No need to finish, he would have been dead just crossing the street and this would have never happened.
