    This sucks so much. I work in the area and they knew the cemetery was there when they initially built! They took off the gravestones and bulldozed the bodies into a ditch. It is sick that the county still doesn’t care and are ignoring the fact that THEY literally built over the dead. They didn’t care in the 50s and 60s and almost 60 years later, it is still money. I hope those protesting can get a win. Screw MoCo govt.

      Why would they? That would have cost them money. They figured no one would notice or care. At least no one important and with money. It really sucks. One of my customers told me about this since he is one of the people leading the fight and I seethed all day. It isn’t too late for the government to do the right thing but we all know they won’t because they don’t care. They don’t care about living black people. Why should they care about dead ones.

    There are numerous parks, and developed areas around DC where former slaves are buried. There’s even a park where vets, nee- slaves are buried. If we tried to do this to white vets, the right would have a conniption.
