A good friend of mine I served with in the Marine Corps just retired after 20 years and sent his daughter to college. He’s a single dad. I’m halfway across the world and dude seems like he has far too much time on his hands.
“What’s good b?”
“Where you think Kyrie going?”
“Remember when we was stationed in Oki and that nigga Gerald...”
“Hey man you think I should date for real for real and find me a lil’ sumthin’?”
“Damn yo... this shit is boring.”
This is all in the past week. I don’t know how y’all are dealing.

  I think once I move closer to my tiny circle of friends, it’ll improve. But I will miss the vineyards that are within a 5 min drive. But yeah, boring is an understatement for the last 2 1/2 weeks.

  Smart lady!!! That is a pitfall of kiddos going to college within reasonable driving distance. All the easier to show up with several weeks worth of laundry or to come home to “help” with something.
