Not sure that targeting active military is good business policy. Cops I can understand but your average soldiers, sailors and marines? Nope. They aren’t the policy makers. That’s a bit up the chain of command.

If your rationale for not “targeting” military is that they aren’t policymakers, why doesn’t that same logic apply to the cops for you? Are they policymakers?

Without looking too far into it the owner seems to be pretty political and an activist. He probably doesn’t support American colonialism and aggression. I don’t see an issue with someone extending that lack of support to the people actually doing the fighting.

Let us hope, should he need law enforcement assistance, that he is comfortable with cops respecting that policy when he calls them.

He already said he wouldn’t stop a cop from doing their job, they just can’t workout there. Did you not read the whole article?

And also curious: is this legal ?

I sincerely doubt it. I mean, he can definitely make it an uncomfortable environment for LE and members of the military, but I sincerely doubt he can enforce this garbage.

Members of the police force or military are not protected classes, therefore “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone” rules.

    1) These are good policies that should be used in more places.

    2) Not “would not”, you cop idiots, it’s COULD NOT. Never forget that.

So you said already. But you got to remember that the whole “support the troops, even if you don’t support the mission” slogan was cooked up immediately post Iraq 2003 by the GOP media buddies (and joined in by democrat hawks and pivoters) in order to hobble dissenting voices for that military boondoggle. It is really an oxymoron, you cannot support troops carrying out a bad mission and then claim that you are not also supporting the mission.

Stopped in while I was on vacation just to get a cardio day in so I was look for a HIIT class or something. The owner says you are in luck, there is one starting right now. Just then, the instructor yells GO, and all these nerds grab their phones and start chasing Pokemon and shit. Last time I visit an Antifa gym.

Antifa gym. Apparently that’s a thing.

He added that the groups who work out at his gym are generally minorities who are uncomfortable with the presence of law-enforcement officers.

Feels like the ONE white guy in America in a position of business ownership that has empathy for minorities that live in a vastly different type of America than he does. Miracles are possible.

Quick, someone raise some money so he can buy an NFL team.

The main issue is there are cops being banned from eating donuts AND working out. I’m waiting for the blue lives matter crew to claim this unprecedented level of discrimination is causing undue stress on cops, and will be used as a defense in forthcoming court cases against them.

He took down the sign for now but if he really means it, he will go to Kinko’s or Signs R Us and pay for a professional looking sign.

If you are going to be political, own it.
