Those bastards don’t even pay for their food, how do they think a so called boycott is going to hurt a huge franchise like DD.

My NYC tax dollars are supporting the thug who murdered Eric Garner, and this union leader wants a public apology over this stupidity. I hope this mf chokes on the next doughy, tasty treat he stuffs in his piehole. They can arrest the doughnut for resisting.

The last time I told a cop “I hope you choke on your next donut” I got a billyclub to the head. Ah, memories.

“I assume it is an isolated incident. Nevertheless, Dunkin’ Donuts corporate should issue an apology to the NYPD and until that happens, I have asked detectives and their families to refrain from patronizing the stores,” he said.

    1) If you “assume” it’s an isolated incident, then stop being such a snowflake and drink your shitty coffee and over-processed sugar donuts.
    2) The manager apologized and corporate put out a statement, you asshole. What a non-story these guys are trying to make into something.

My theory is these guys walked in expecting to be treated like royalty (because almost all cops have an inflated sense of self), stood in the wrong damn line, felt foolish when they finally figured it out, and to save themselves the dent in their egos, they made up some bullshit story about being “discriminated against.”

Your theory is correct. They should go to DD in Staten Island if they want to be treated like royalty in NYC. Cops don’t have the balls to publicly admit they want to be considered a protected class, so they bully everyone.

Multiple recent “any crimes against police are hate crimes” state laws beg to differ with this assessment.

Lol, at my workplace here in Florida Dunkin’ Donuts is considered the working man’s answer to Starbucks. We’re EMS so we drink a lot of coffee. When I first got hired my boss asked me if I liked Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks. I said Starbucks because DD coffee tastes like burnt dirt. He gave me the fish eye and said he preferred DD over Starbucks because “I don’t like that snobby liberal ish.” I partially redeemed myself by saying I liked DD’s breakfast sandwiches. *shrug* It was a stupid litmus test.

I’ve never met someone who chose Starbucks over another coffee brand because *the non-Starbucks* coffee tasted like burnt dick.

I’d usually co-sign this without a second thought, but what I’ve noticed about DD coffee after moving from NY to FL is that the taste seems to be more dependent on the barista or the location than Starbucks, thus there is more variability to it. Starbucks seems to be fairly consistent wherever I go.

My hot taek theory about what actually happened:

The cops wanted free food and drink, and the employee refused to give away product. Then, they manufactured this story and are feigning outrage. Sort of like this non-event that the police made up.

So...you’re in a position where it is the MANTRA to protect & serve.
(Protecting their identity whilst they serve up an ass whuppin’, but I digress)
A main component of said position, is to be the fuckin’ bigger person.
So the young cashier won’t serve you; show your ‘bigliness’ and move the fuck on. You’re already aware that a good majority of the population hates you, but you want to engage in the schoolyard tactics that will continue to prove the narrative that it’s an eye-for-an-eye with law enforcement...

Somewhere, in some sugary boardroom, a D&D executive is trying to ignore the sweat beading on his forehead and fervently hoping that the stereotype isn’t founded in truth.

“Cops boycotting our shops won’t impact profits THAT much...right?!”

Guess DD will be giving out less free coffee and donuts. Might actually help business.

I don’t know what’s sillier: a dude deciding that a minimum-wage job is a great hill to die on, or that the NYPD thinks that they’re going to dent D&D’s business.
