Curry is a talented athlete no doubt and competitors in general are petty. However, Steph and his wife profess to be “Christians”. His peek pettiness doesn’t represent WWJD (What would Jesus do?). That’s why people ain’t checkin’ for organized religion. People who espouse to follow Christ engage in hypocritical shenanigans like this on the regular.

Religion aside what happened to being gracious in victory and defeat? If you have to resort to pettiness during a game in order to get into you’re opponent’s mind I’m questioning your skill level. I’m not naive I know shit talking is par and parcel of sports. But when does it devolve from getting into you opponent’s head and become plain vengeance?

WWJD? He would change water into wine and keep the party going. His miracles were biblical petty. How many times you think he was doubted ? Ask Thomas, he’ll confirm.

Please do remember when asking “What Would Jesus Do?” that flipping tables and chasing someone out of the building with a bullwhip is among the options available.

Future Hall-of-famer Kevin Garnett still holds the league’s single-game record for pettiness, when—on January 7, 2013—he allegedly whispered in Carmelo Anthony’s ear: “Your wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.”

Literally my reaction to reading this...

That is above and beyond petty. That’s some mental Jedi move, getting into someone’s head like that.

Nah, Lebron had it coming. He went HAM on the Warriors after the Cavs came back from down 1-3, he clowned them getting off the plane back in CLE with his “Ultimate Warrior” T shirt, and had the Halloween party which had some 3-1 decorations that he posted online. Curry mocking his workout is petty, but nothing compared to the bombs Draymond dropped at the Warriors victory parade. That dude has no chill.

Also, shout out to Tee Grizzley who may be the biggest winner in all of this. That weak ass First Day Out featured in two viral clips.

Haha dear god, people have the shortest memories. What happened after the Warriors first championship? They didn’t say anything afterwards, just totally took the W with grace and pride? Nah.

Having worked with both collegiate and professional athletes, I think I can see part of the reason he waits until he’s got an audience to call someone out. It’s because these teams are like fucking high school cliques. The guy who’s the best player is the popular girl who can say virtually anything, and all of the other girls laugh and go along with it. Most of the other idiots on the team will just join in, hoping to curry (no pun intended) favor with them.

The guys who weren’t as good but didn’t play as much were often really cool, especially the ones who didn’t get into the locker room popularity contests. Steph Curry doesn’t seem like one of the cool guys. He’s an asshat.

This article sounds like some Steph-hating/envy pettiness. Reminds me of the pot and kettle.

He is the long distance petty champion. He calculates his petty and picks the perfect time to strike, like a sniper (FOR 3!!!)
