Jamaica? Is there a claim that there are a run of Muslim extremists pouring out of the country?

When is this motherfucker going to just come out and say that he’s denying visas from countries with Black and brown people in it?

I understand your point, but this guy was deported from the USA because of weed or something. TMK, there is not a ban against Jamaicans.

      I get your point though.

I’m aware that there isn’t a ban against Jamaicans. But an arrest for weed does not make this man so much of a threat that he shouldn’t be allowed to enter the country to say goodbye to his daughter.

And quite frankly, given the way embassies have been just flat out denying visas without explanation in brown countries (although let’s be real European countries don’t need visas) and the reversal of Obama policies of attempting to be more considerate in their visa policies I can’t help but conclude that htis has a fair amount to do with the racism of Trump.

he was deported from the United States to Jamaica in 2001 following a marijuana arrest

Reading between the lines, the fact that he was deported for an arrest and not a conviction means he was likely undocumented at the time of his arrest, and was deported for being undocumented. If the article is incorrect and he was deported for a marijuana conviction, it would mean likely mean that he was a lawful permanent resident who was convicted for possession or sale of more than 30g of marijuana (the USA Today article just says he was deported “on a drug charge” which is equally unhelpful).

Unfortunately, if he does have a conviction, he is “inadmissible” under US law, and would have to seek a waiver to visit the United States, which he likely doesn’t qualify for (and would take a very long time to adjudicate, far too long to matter). If his conviction is for marijuana sale, then he’s pretty certainly fucked, since that would make him an “aggravated felon” under immigration law (a bullshit term which also includes some misdemeanors), and blocks him from trying to reenter the US for 20 years.

There is also the option of humanitarian parole, which is designed for exactly this kind of situation, and hopefully what he can get. But he needs to have a lawyer or someone experience with immigration law help him.

Gotta make sure those non violent plants are punished accordingly and ruin (primarily black) people’s entire lives. A + society.

Homeland Security: How do we know that “Mr Smith”, if that is his real name, is not somehow complicit in this death and it is nothing more than a clever ruse to gain entry back into the country with his daughter to continue his drug dealing.
