How does this not outrage every single citizen in this country? “They were simply re-creating the discovery”. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? As someone who personally knows police officers, I really don’t understand the raging hard-on people have for law enforcement. Some of the stories I’ve heard make me never, ever, ever want to take the police department’s word for it. And now we apparently can’t trust what we see on these body cameras either.

Honestly, its because they like them because they keep PoC “in their place.” The like them because PoC have an ambiguous relationship with them. Conservative white people are all about spite and contrarianism.

Even if you are “recreating” the crime scene.. why disable the camera?.. in fact, you WANT to show the process as well as the discovery.. The ONLY reason to turn off the camera is to not RE-create a scene, but simply CREATE said scene and use the camera as “proof”.

body camera footage that shows the officer planting drugs at a crime scene prior to making an arrest

So if you put evil on one side and stupid on the other, I think the scale would about even out.

The two that just stood there and watched their boy do the dirty deed are just as bad as he is, if not worse. All three of them should be fired and thrown in jail.

Every case they’ve worked should be called into question. Especially if the case relied in any degree on cop testimony.

We all saw the DOJ stuff coming out of Baltimore. This is as disgusting as it is unsurprising.

Also? Suspended? Non-public-contact administrative duty? Fuck that. Officers Pinheiro, Simonyan and Brunson should be fired.

Also? Fired? Fuck that. “Officers” Pinheiro, Simonyan and Brunson should be arrested, jailed and tried and the prosecutors who called the “officer” as a witness, if they knew about his actions, should be investigated by an outside agency.

Well at least now anyone who has been arrested by him for drugs has a great chance at their case being tossed out

What I would like to see happen, snowball’s chance or not:

    • Suspended without pay for the duration. (“Yes, you may find other employment, but you must be available for work when we call. Oh, you’re not available for your shift because of another job? You have abandoned your position and thus forfeit all compensation and benefits. Oh, and we require you to inform all potential employers of this condition of your employment with us.”)
    • Charged with drug possession.
    • Charged with drug trafficking - ‘cause that looks like enough to warrant the charge.
    • Involuntary enrollment in a drug rehabilitation program of not less than 3 months duration. (Why, you ask? To find out what it’s actually like to be an addict, discover that they are actual people, and maybe, just mayyyybe find a little sympathy. That, snd because he had to get those drugs from somewhere.)
    • Charged with evidence tampering.
    • Charged with obstruction of justice.
    • Charged with interferring with a police investigation.
    • Sued in civil court for all damages incurred by the suspect for having to go to jail.
    • Condemned by the union for conduct violations. (Never, ever going to happen. Fat, pestilent blue line.)
    • Asset forfeiture, because he is accused, Mutha-fuckaaaaaaa....
