    They will have a hard time getting a lawyer because under Illinois law you can only sue the State for a max of 100k and you have to do it in something called the Court of Claims which is a pain in the ass. So we’ll probably never get to the bottom of this unless the ACLU steps up.

    60% of the prisoners at Menard are doing life. It’s always going to be tough to control prisoners with nothing to lose. That being said, there definitely needs to be a radical overhaul of the prison and criminal system to address the overcrowding issues.

    oh, its a Lord Of The Flies torture-dungeon, run by the state. also known as a concentration camp. i didnt realize we still had concentration camps. huh.
