Your president told him to “get well soon” like he got chicken pox or something. I can’t.

OUR president spoke with grace and dignity and is and example to young children. SOME PEOPLES president can’t even copy off a hallmark card.

It’s a good thing he has access to health care unlike millions of people in this country and millions more if his party has its way.

    Just saying.

A brain tumor f*cking with his common sense would sure explain his choosing Palin as his running mate in 2008

It would but I suspect he did that stupidness all by his lonesome.

I came here for the comments. Because the ones over at the slot were pissing me off. I can not find an ounce of sympathy for him about this. Sucks for his family, I feel for them. But him? I just cant.

No kidding. Total dogpile on the first person who indicated they were ok with the diagnosis. I wish it was Trump though.

I know people who plan to die due to the healthcare repeal bullshit in order to make sure their illness does not place their family’s future in jeopardy. If you are a part of that bullshit- a part of the reason why all those babies, sisters, fathers, grandparents, moms, brothers are going to have to choose healthcare or a roof over their or their family’s heads, I don’t have much sympathy.

Perhaps I may think kinder thoughts if McCain spent a part of his remaining days working to ensure the citizens of the US have the same opportunity for treatment he does as his legacy. I’d certainly make a concerted effort to ensure my spot in the Good Place was a firm booking if I were him.

There was a way to say, I disagree with the man but goddamn cancer sucks. Also, feeling empathy for his family is reasonable and questioning his decisions is also reasonable.

This is it. This is the post here. The rest of Univision needs to stop now. Please.

The comment section on Jez is a predictable shitshow, Btw. You’re welcome.

After I read your comment I went to the Jezebel post. Man, there are some commenters who shed some pretty ugly ass skin on that thread—commenters I usually think are funny or insightful.

My grandfather died from this. It’s aggressive and hard to treat. Even with the much fancier than average care he has access to it’s going to be bad. Near the end my grandfather had to close his eyes and pause a few seconds just to speak. The tumors reduced a PhD chemist to that.

I hope McCain and his family have as much time as possible together. The best case scenario is around 5 years, and only 10% of patients make it that long.

Remember the multiple times Donald Trump made McCain his bitch? Like, just legit cockslapped him on national tv?

Just want to remember McCains “legacy”.

My brother had what turned out to be a thankfully benign brain tumor (long before the ACA) before he hit 40. My best friend had a malignant brain tumor at 40, but fortunately, they found it early, got all of hers and she’s still cancer free 5+ years later. (*knock on wood*) So, yeah - my heart goes out to the McCain family tonight.

I disagree with the man’s politics, but I just can’t wish him ill over this - it hits too close to home for me to go there. Brain tumors hit you and your family in a way other cancers don’t, and glioblastomas have crap survival rates, even with good health care.

All I can hope is that this makes him and other members of the Senate better advocates for proper healthcare for their constituents, but I’m not holding my breath.

As someone who has family who has faced down cancer, some of whom survived and some of whom didn’t, I would never wish cancer on anyone. With that said, I can’t feel any strong sympathy for McCain either.

I’m sure he’s glad he has health insurance. And that he’ll never have to worry about Congress trying to take it away from him.
