I mustva forgot my empathy in bed today, cause I’m like and???

I see ish like this and think these fools will climb mountains, fight polar bears, exercise in extreme temps but won’t put forth not an inch of effort in forward humanity, cause where’s the 1st place prize and cover of Sports Illustrated for that?

Lance Armstrong raised over half a billion dollars for cancer research and treatment. Despite the dick-ishness during his ā€œI race cleanā€ period, it’s hard not to like the guy solely for that. He also never bitched about his legs looking weird, he revels in that sort of stuff. Cycling, like rock & roll, was simply better back when everybody did drugs.

By ā€œfeetā€ do you mean half-gnawed pickled pig’s hooves with only one black toenail?

    OK, since you’re not a cyclist…

So far, that poor bastard’s done 2,000 miles in 19 days (2 rest days as they fly from one side of France to the other to continue). Today, he had 115 miles climbing from 700m to 2,000m, back down to 700m, back up to 1,500m on a marginally less steep climb, a short dip before climbing back up to 2,600m and rolling down 15 miles to the finish, and all that in 5.5 hours. That last climb - the Galibier - is 24km up a slope going from 6% up to 10%, and over 8% grade for most of the distance. And there’s undoubtably worse legs out there since he wasn’t even in the autobus, with the riders who are struggling to make it before the cut-off time - they were 3 minutes behind him.

And tomorrow he’s got two more climbs like that to 2,100m and 2,300m…

    Nice gams.

Seriously, I’m not surprised by all those veins. Those legs need lots of blood to sustain all that effort.

Let’s please draw the line at ballerina feet. Please? (*shudders* remembering roommate with ā€œit’s just a toenail filled with blood.ā€)
