I watched that video of Sam DuBose’s murder a good 7 to 10 times hoping that at some point that I would see something that made the whole thing make sense. I never did. (And I paid for it b/c I still can’t get those images out of my head.)
How could they watch that footage and not find this man guilty of a crime? At no point should not having a license plate or starting a car with or without the intent to drive away result in an unarmed person’s brains being blown out.

  It doesn’t matter to them. We are the danger in America. Everything that comes within our reach is a weapon. Merely breathing is enough to scare them, even when you have a child right next to you or inside of you.
  The fact that we keep waiting for the American Justice System to finally reflect the morality issues in a manner they should be represented is probably our biggest mistake. Because it was never intended to give us that respect. So what would really change about it in the long run?
  I really don’t know.

The prosecutor said that the case has now been referred to federal prosecutors so that they can determine if any of DuBose’s civil rights were violated during the encounter.“I’m hopeful that the U.S. attorney’s office will see fit to proceed in this matter,” Deters added.

At the risk of sounding petty, and maybe it’s the newness of the Minneapolis shooting but I can’t help but notice the number of people who are here to discuss this travesty of justice compared to the number of people who came here to share their outrage at the police shooting of a white woman.

  Black Lives Matter has been present at the vigils for the woman shot in Minneapolis. Where we go from here depends on what the police does next. This article was about a police officer shootin a man 2 years ago. It has taken that long just to get this resolved. It’s going to take time but BLM is asking for answers and justice for this white woman.

  I’d pretend to feel sorry for him if he hadn’t already had three civil complaints against him in two years of disservice as a cop. It won’t bring back the life of that woman, but it may spare a few others if they don’t throw him in prison.

It looks as if former University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing is going to walk clear of charges after shooting and killing an unarmed black motorist two years ago.
