That was pretty much my reaction to it. I let Miss Doris be great. From afar and not at my house because...come on, now.

I wonder if she’s at it again so she can have prison healthcare and housing in her old age.

probably. In the documentary, which was a while ago. She was struggling in terms of a living situation. Her son was a recovering addict and her daughter doesn’t speak to her.

Sad but had she been another “persuasion”, Hollyweird would have made an Oscar-nominated-starring-Charlie/Nicole/etc-saturate-the-market/social media movie made about her.

That script’s been in development for almost 10 years. By the time they do it, Halle will be playing her WalMart thefts.....

When I saw the film, for a moment, I was impressed at the skill and savvy this little black woman from the middle of nowhere showed with no training or help. But the fact that she has nothing to show for it and is still out here shop lifting at damn near 90 years old?

She should’ve applied her intelligence to something else because her day has come and gone.

Technology has surpassed her skills. If she doesn’t sit down, she’s going to take her last breath in a prison cell somewhere.

Really wish she had parlayed her thievery skills into a multi-million dollar consultation business like that real life dude in Catch Me If You Can. He’s super rich now based on his skills at making and cashing fraudulent checks. He built a business improving check security and consulting with banks and retailers.

My opinion, but I think the difference between that guy and Mrs. Payne is that she is a legit psychopath. She just does not care about how her actions impact people (i.e. her children and the employees who get punished for showcasing jewelry to her that she then steals).

Yes! I was thinking she’s smart enough to have turned this into a legal hustle! And in my earlier comment, I was going to say whoever called her a sociopath in the documentary was spot on. But maybe she is a psychopath. I can’t always remember the difference. Smh. Just a waste.

Payne is believed to have stolen about $2 million worth of items over the past 60 years.

I needed a story with the words “International jewel thief” in it today.

I think we need a headline like this every day for the next few years. I’m used to stories starting with “Florida Man...” but I’m equally cool with “International ____ Thief...” :D

I’m having a hard time having any empathy for Walmart. In fact, I really wish that Doris would have looked at herself in the mirror and said, “I deserve better today.” And moved it along to Target!

    FREE DORIS, FREEEE DORIS!!
