    I don’t expect conviction.

    How much have we seen where White Juries have found empathy in spurious claims of fear of the black victim coming from police officers.

    All the officer’s defense needs to do is create a story that is reasonable to the average white person about the kids he shot at, and killed.

    Now think of the fear you see in the average white stranger you meet, and realize how easy that will be.

      Yup. All he has to do is claim he had a reasonable fear and convince a single white person that seeing a black person in a car is reasonable fear for his life.

    I didn’t immediately recognize the story when I saw the headline, so with no background info, I guessed that if a cop is getting prosecuted for shooting a black person, it’s because it was on video.

    I don’t have high hopes for conviction though. :/

    As people of color will never be considered a priority here. Save your money. We either need to take our family and children and leave the United states. Or be prepared to fight for our children. Our men and women.  We will always be lower class citizens in the United states. We are not free here, we are not safe here. Our children will suffer and no justice will be served for the many black lives continously lost in the “land of the free home of the brave”. We are being hunted and exterminated. Sadly we even kill each other. Yet no one raises a brow. Racism is very much alive here open your eyes. No one is coming to save us black people. Nothing and no one ever has. We must save ourselves.
