    In response with what would have been a misdemeanor assault officers responded by calling out SWAT, which in turn responded with 29 heavily armed officers and two armored assault vehicles.

    Sounds reasonable. I mean, everyone knows the best way to deal with a “hostage” situation is with vehicles that can blow everything to hell.

    When will wypipo realize that what affects Resilients/POC will eventually affect them too. With local police departments equipped with an arsenal of military grade weapons larger than some countries anybody can get it. Case in point:

    So do we still think its a good idea to sell decommissioned military equipment to small town police departments?

    They have all this firepower and vehicles and it seems like they are just ITCHING to use it for anything. A guy with mental health issues arguing with some family members seems like a two-car response plus a counselor or negotiator. De-escalate and move on. NOPE. Call in the heavies.
