For all the talk white people do about leaving things in teh past and not dwelling on past injustices they sure hold a grudge against OJ for a murder that he was acquitted of. What happened to all that “respect the system” talk we always hear when a cop gets off for killing one of us? But I digress.

I wouldn’t place a bet on it but it would not surprise me if they did not let OJ out because they’re still trying to punish him for the crime they couldn’t convict him of.

You act like only white people think OJ is guilty.

White people bitch about it the most. Hell, I think he’s guilty but I’m not going to get my panties in a bunch over a rich Black man getting away with something that rich white men and even poor white men have been getting away with much more often. I have no fucks to give about that case.

Shit I’m more concerned about the police who are acquitted even after being recorded and sent back into the community where he or she can find another victim.

Wow, has it been that long already?

They should let him out. How else is he gonna do something spectacularly stupid to entertain us again?

That’s the only reason they’ll let him out and promptly arrest him again for shits and giggles.

It entertained you when he killed his wife and her friend?

That was seriously entertainment to you?

I gotta chip in here, five bucks to your favorite charity says that he isn’t paroled and the word “concerns” is used in the parole board findings. It doesn’t matter that he is a model prisoner, he’ll not be good enough and they’ll have “concerns” about his behavior which they feel can only be assuaged by a further period of time under observation. Yes, all nice and neat like that. They are not being outrageous racists abusing some tiny bit of power, they are being dutiful public servants just wanting to make sure all their concerns are listened to and that a potentially dangerous prisoner is given a little extra time to prove himself (but really, it is the racism thing).

He probably will, we’re talking a hotel room robbery here, not murder. You can’t consider anything other than the facts of the case that put him in jail, so, based on that, he probably has served enough time to make restitution for that.

I question that. I mean they shouldn’t consider anything past his conviction and behavior as a prisoner. But I would be willing to bet they can deny his parole and not have any trouble with it.

“I, the eternal optimist, and believer in the good in humanity (who usually winds up getting my teeth knocked in) think he’s getting out.”

Does it bother you at ALL that he killed the wife he perpetually abused and her new boyfriend? This really makes me sad. When folks compare The Root to a black Stormfront, this is the kind of mess they’re talking about.

If he expects to get out, he’ll have to deliver a plea for probation like Red from Shawshank Redemption. “Beated and defeated” is the speech the parole board wants to hear.

He will act contrite and say the right things in a supplicant way and get parole. He will then steal the show at the Maywrather fight which leads to far too many:

OJ, Mayweather, and Mcgregor walk into a casino jokes.
