I guess they will just have to wait until the pipes are replaced before they can effectively wash their bodies.

Fortunately for us, humans don’t absorb significant quantities of inorganic lead through the skin.

Yeah. Except this is about the bacteria in the water.

Flint: We’ve polluted your water with lead.. for years. Can’t get any worse!

    Also Flint: Hold my beer.

(I know it’s not funny what those folk are going through; the city staff needs to be jailed, the residents fully compensated, and money needs to flow).

These are the same people that are looking at foreclosure and sherrif’s sales on their property because they have unpaid water bills for the water they can’t use and the service that has fucked them over, right?

    Sure. Run the water longer.

I want all the republicans out of office and relocated to flint (as it is right now) to pay for their crimes, while the residents of flint get to go and live in their homes and work their jobs. I think that would be an excellent trade for most and teach a valuable lesson on public service and the responsibility that comes with that trust.

But I’m just an idiot. Pay me no mind.

Thanks for keeping this story in our minds. Truth be told, it slips out of mine sometimes. I am so sad for the people of Flint that they are still living this nightmare, and so angry at those in charge who haven’t fixed it.

The researchers recommend that residents bypass the faucet filters and run water until the temperature cools, then run filtered water for 15 seconds before collecting any for use.

Until the temperature cools? To what? -275 Kelvin so we know all the bacteria is dead?
