    This is ridiculous this child is assaulted at school and the school then lies to the mother about what happened to her child! Someone needs to be fired and someone needs to be indicted. Maybe the same somebody.

    I am not a doctor or anything but he gets KO’d, then goes home and is nauseous and delirious? Sounds like the poor kid got concussed. That can take you to some very, very dark places. Terrible. Just terrible.

      Exactly - if the doctors didn’t know there had been trauma of some sort, fainting + vomiting is just going to look like a particularly bad virus. This makes my blood run cold. And, yes, head trauma or oxygen deprivation (it’s not clear how he ended up fainting) can definitely take someone to dark places.

    “a boy described by his family’s lawyer as an enthusiastic, well-dressed third grader who loved wearing neckties to school.”

    THEN:

    “He had hanged himself using his own neckties.”

    Damn, this is awful. My sincere sympathy for the family. There is no way to make this right.

    On the bully:

    Okay...so again I’m not one for policing children by putting them in the justice system. Especially at this young an age, but the bully really needs to go to serious counselling and mandatory therapy at the minimum. And that is what a court should do.

    They just released the video and all I can say is WTF IS WRONG WITH KIDS TODAY. He was lying on the floor for several minutes with kids just walking past and looking at him. At one point a teacher opens a door adjacent to the bathroom. You can see him lying there with kids around him and NOT ONE KID says anything to the teacher who can’t see him. It was horribly sad and at the same time infuriating to watch.
