      Nobody was a better “Contemptuous Press Flack” than Ari Fleischer. The guy would basically tell them to “go fuck themselves”, and then still maintain a sense of levity and fraternity among colleagues.

      Being able to walk that line is both a skill and a gift.

      Sure he was kind of a dick - but the moment he was replaced, one realizes just how good he was at his job.

      My jaw was on the floor when she closed with saying:

      MS. SANDERS: There are multiple people that are part of this, and it’s not just the FBI. You’ve got the House Committee, the Senate Committee.

      Look, again, the point is, we want this to come to its conclusion. We want it to come to its conclusion with integrity. And we think that we’ve actually, by removing Director Comey, taken steps to make that happen.

      I have never seen a more brazen group.

    This guy. This fucking suckbag of a human being. He really has no social skills, no awareness of others at all, does he? He’s the kind of guy who would kick you in the shins, poke you in the eye, fire you, and then ask, “Hey. Mind if I fuck your wife?” and be startled by his request being declined.

      Actually, I have been told by several people who have met him one-on-one in private, that he’s great in person. It helps explain in part how he managed to do as well as he did.

      Pity that his public persona is so covered in santorum.

      I don’t think he’s in any way a great (in a moral sense) person. I think he can read people and tell him what they want to hear. That works well when you’re trying to close a business deal, but doesn’t scale to the leader of the free world. Too many people with contradictory demands, and way to much scrutiny, and the levers that he need to pull are now much too complicated.

      Thank heaven he can’t.

      The next question: how complicit will the Congressional Republicans be? Congress can stop the frothing santorum machine in its tracks if it so desires. Congress can also impede the FBI if it so chooses, for example by cutting off its funding.

      Will the Republican-controlled Congress show that it is truly an independent branch of government, and will Republicans show that they have some lingering morality and self-respect? Or will they be toadies to Trump and his minions for their selfish short-term goals? *popcorn*
