I don’t watch this show (slave-story detox) but I understand its importance. What’s the point of BET if it cant secure dramas like this? Or OWN? Centric? TvOne?

This and Handmaid’s Tale and are both shows I’m putting off until a time where I don’t feel we’re about to fall into a genuine real life dystopia at any moment.

I really hope another outlet picks this up. It’s top tier. And I’m still so annoyed about Outsiders.

WGN needs to chill out. For a network that I knew only for baseball and Bozo the Clown back when I was still in single digits (and wondering why the hell Chicago got its own station on basic TV), it’d done a lot to get on the national radar for quality content. What a backslide.

Sinclair will use its newfound heft... to launch a competitor to Fox News.

I love Underground, but I suspect it’s better off cancelled than on a network that would demand a more sympathetic portrayal of the slave catchers and the white masters suffering the economic devastation of runaway slaves.

That being said, if Hulu saves the show I’ll get my own account instead of using a family member’s. Please? Pretty please? Pretty please, with additional subscribers on top?

ETA: I’d threated to boycott the networked, but I never watched WGN America before Underground. Once Underground is gone, so is WGN Amerca from my screens.

Sounds like AMC could be a good fit.

I am not so optimistic, but, hey, at least it isn’t five or six years ago when cancellation would have been guaranteed - the amazing cast, production values, and important story lines would have made it network cannon fodder during the first season. AMC or Hulu surely have the budget room and AMC for sure needs the influx of fresh stories and characters as a contrast to the eternal undead slog that is Walking Dead and its zombie offspring, Fear the Walking Dead.

More recently, Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law and now a senior adviser in the White House, said at a meeting with business executives that the Trump campaign had reached an agreement with Sinclair to give more access to Mr. Trump…

Oh geez bad enough the show is getting cancelled but the fact that it is also being replaced by another Trumpaganda machine is some horror movie shit.
