      I actually lived in Irving as a kid. Went to middle school and freshman year in Irving schools. Irving is very, very racist and very, very homophobic - I’ve been unlearning the shit I learned in Irving for 30 years.

      Eyeliner, though. This is how we did our eyeliner in middle school and high school in Irving. We would even take a lighter to our eyeliner to get it soft enough to get a good, thick line. And we believed that only doing a partial line of the lower lid made the eyes look bigger and more noticeable (you can see that we were half-right). However! This was 1984 - 1988! The years of terrible makeup? So why does this Repug Barbie still have my eyeliner from 1985? Because nothing ever, ever changes in Irving, Texas. It’s a time warp hell. I’m honestly surprised her hair isn’t bigger.

      What I don’t understand is why all these women have the worst eyebrows you have ever seen? DeVos has actual sperm on her forehead. These aren’t much better, and look like they came off two different faces.

    This country needs to have a discussion about what we expect out of government. It’s overdue and right now Republicans are winning because they turn on the “NO TAXES NO GOVERNMENT” neon it sign and nobody challenges it.

    Nobody says that Republicans don’t know how to properly govern for an equitable America whether on the local, state or national level.

    Nobody brings up that Republicans have no idea how to balance budgets.

    Nobody brings up that Republicans idea of no taxes also equals no revenue so the government can’t function and will lead to disastrous cuts to essential services.

    And nobody challenges them on the fact that they want to make Americans pay out of pocket to private businesses for services that are covered by their taxes right now, making it harder for poor and middle class families to afford living in America.
