You wrote a lot of words for a semi-scripted show that has been presented to you as “reality”. How do y’all not understand this? None of this shit is real. None of it. The conversations. The made up “drama”. The entire thing. I worked production on this show. Cohen is in on the whole thing. You make pro wrestling fans look like geniuses. Pro wrestling has more reality in it than this shit. Don’t believe the hype.

  The ENTIRE public not understanding (or not believing that it’s scripted) is a serious problem for someone put in Kandi’s position, however. Real world stupidity on the part of the public has real world consequences. Also, as a real life attorney, Phaedra’s judgment is questionable, as far as going along with a storyline that makes her look as if she’s unfamiliar with, or doesn’t care about rules of ethics governing an attorney’s behavior (fake or not, this whole enterprise occupies a strange place since it’s presented as real- if shit hits the fan in real life, & no one will admit that it’s fake, than the consequences may be REAL. Cohen/ Bravo have the money to defend & spin). As for Kandi, it may be fake, but when you make a sexual allegation against anyone in American society, it needs to be true. People here latch on to prurient content, & don’t let go, so claims of this nature need to come from fact. A false rape allegation publicly presented as fact will have lasting consequences for the accused, & it only makes life so much harder for actual victims of rape, who already catch hell finding justice. For Kandi, a rumor like this could really impact her businesses, bc the idea will still live in many people’s subconscious that she’s an attempted rapist, when that’s probably a vindictive lie. Fake story, or not, I’d beat the hell out of Phaedra’s real ass for playing with my real reputation in that manner.
  Also, there was a story that Phaedra was involved in criminal acts regarding falsifying information related to (stolen?) vehicles. Whatever it is, if she did it, she’s not smart at all. If you’ll throw away all the years you invested in higher education for dumb criminal shit, in reality, you’re not even qualified for special ed.

  Even if Bravo was in on it and used Phaedra as the catalyst for this type of mess, she is an attorney and she knew better. She did not have to participate. If they would have tried to fire her, she could have sued them. She might have lost her job but she would have been paid and used her experience to change how reality TV producers do business. Instead, she used her hatred of Kandi, Todd and Shamea to tear them down personally and professionally with such a foul accusation. By doing this, she is now without a job, could be disbarred, sued by three people and remember the Feds r still watching. Being an attorney, I know she thought about all this, however, she chose to do the crime, now she is doing the time. She thought she was going to be supported by Andy and Bravo but what they did not count on was the backlash of those rumors from fans. So she became the escape goat. Good Bye Phaedra. Your legacy is not building up blacks but destroying them. People like you r blacks worst enemy.

Phaedra is disgusting. Hocus and I were talking about this the other day. Kandi’s reaction was to the lies perpetrated by Phaedra was enough to make me stop watching. Kandi looked so incredibly hurt, repulsed and traumatized upon finding this out. It wasn’t a lie. It was a gross and serious allegation. RHOA is so much better offer without that kind of toxicity.

  The only counter I would offer is that, someone might look at RHOA and see all of their prejudices validated. (Same deal with any of the other iterations, except those sorts of prejudices don’t meaningfully impact those victims.)

  that is a non-insignificant concern. people who wish to categorize all african american women by some worn out tropes would find them over-represented on that show, and would draw a factually incorrect assumption. these shows are actively harmful. lets get one about poc women in the tech field, they can play up the nerdiness a bit if they wish, for good tv, but get other representations the heck out there, to counter this dreck.

Yeashe should have played up ALL of Landis friends and family talking shit about her for 2 whole seasons. As well as Kandi and Todd siding with Apollo. Not justifying her lies but it’s not like Kandi is innocent.
